Midwest territory. The Account Manager will oversee servicing both new and current
accounts; satisfying dealer requests promptly and professionally and ensuring customers’ needs and
expectations are met.
Essential Functions
• Responsible for sales & marketing of Tamron photo lenses within the assigned territory.
• Business development with all photo dealers; function as primary liaison for new and current
accounts.
• Responsible for achieving sales goals for the territory.
• Report on sales forecasts and strategic planning in addition to regular sales
activities.
• Build lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with all customers.
• Work with dealers to address needs, create solutions, and ensure a smooth sales process.
• Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and recommending solutions.
• Develop new business opportunities by gathering current marketplace information and by studying
existing and potential dealers.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional
publications, and establishing personal networks.
• Report promptly as directed on expenses, travel plans, and more.
Areas of Knowledge
• Knowledge of photo industry products and Tamron lenses is preferred.
• Understanding of basic photography principles and optical aspects of lenses to serve as a technical interface to customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required, including advanced Excel.
This is a full-time position with a standard 37.5-hour workweek.
Travel
Travel required (up to 60% monthly, including weekends/overnight).
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of sales experience is required, preferably in a photo-related field.
- Road warrior attitude and ability to travel extensively, sometimes on short notice.
- Easy access to a major airport.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
